We want every record to be as accurate as the underlying sources allow. If you believe information about your business is wrong, outdated, or misattributed, you can ask us to review and fix it. This page explains how.
RooferWatch is operated by Pagelift LLC, doing business as RooferWatch.
Verified Account
Corrections can only be submitted from a free account after you verify that you own or are authorized to represent the business.
This protects you. If anyone could submit changes to any profile, a competitor or bad actor could alter your record or file false corrections in your name. Requiring verification makes sure that the only person who can change your business’s information is someone actually connected to that business.
Verification is free and is not a paid feature. Creating an account and verifying ownership does not cost anything and does not require a membership.
How to Submit
- Create a free account. Sign up at rooferwatch.com.
- Verify your business. Confirm that you own or are authorized to represent the listing. Verification is free.
- Propose your changes. Use our self-service tools to mark what needs correcting and submit the proposed change for review.
This is the only way to submit a correction. We do not accept corrections by email or through any other channel, because we cannot verify ownership that way.
After You Submit
Every proposed change is reviewed by our team before it goes live. Please allow at least a few days for review. We are careful about what we publish, and that care takes time.
If it has been longer than a few days, or you want to know the status of a request, open a support ticket from inside your account. We can tell you where your request stands, what we changed, or why we declined a change.
Possible Outcomes
When we review a proposed change, one of the following usually happens:
- Approved. We agreed with the change and updated the record.
- Partially approved. We updated some of the information you flagged but kept other information, because we checked it against the source and found it to be current and accurate.
- Declined. We did not make the change. This is often because the information is accurate according to the source, or because we could not verify the proposed correction against a reliable source.
- Minor fix. Sometimes the issue is simply a typo or a formatting error, which we correct directly.
If we decline or only partially approve a change, you can open a support ticket and we will explain what we found.
What We Change
We review reasonable, specific, good-faith requests and act on them at our discretion.
We are not obligated to remove or change accurate information that is drawn from a public source. RooferWatch reports what public and third-party records show, with dates and sources. Where the error originates with the source itself, the most reliable fix is to correct it at the source, and we may direct you there so the correction carries through everywhere the record appears. Once the source is updated, our records will reflect the change on our next refresh.
Help and Access
If you have trouble creating an account, verifying your business, or using the correction tools, or if you have accessibility needs, email us at support@rooferwatch.com and we will do our best to help. This email is for access and support only. Corrections themselves still need to come through a verified account.
